For over 10 years, the Facility Maintenance Department has went from a staff of one to a staff of four. The growth within this department has largely saved taxpayer dollars through their key facility maintenance knowledge as well as structural and more complex repairs, eliminating the need to outsource much of the work being performed. This department is pivotal in Town operations from assisting with Town events to being on call to troubleshoot facility maintenance.

The Town of Jonesborough’s Facility Maintenance Department maintains over ten town facilities and provides custodian services for seven of those facilities. The department is made up of three full – time employees and one part – time employee who work up to 7 days per week keeping our facilities in running order.
The Facility Maintenance staff assists with all aspects of our town facilities maintenance, from general custodian work and daily cleaning tasks to working with or on electrical, plumbing and HVAC projects within all sixteen departments within the Town of Jonesborough. These staff members are also responsible for snow removal and salting our parking lots and facility sidewalks, all set ups and break downs of facility rentals, seasonal decorating and also provide assistance during our town/special events
