Staff Accountant
An employee in this class maintains complex fiscal records of Town assets, liabilities, revenues and expenses, applying professional accounting principles and methods. This work encompasses a broad scope of duties and independence of action in the solution of more difficult professional accounting problems. The work in this class involves responsibility for preparing various analyses, accounting record adjustments and management reports. The Staff Accountant reports to the Finance Director. Beginning salary is $28.87 salary is negotiable with experience.
Jackson Theatre Custodian
Performs unskilled building cleaning tasks. This is repetitive manual work requiring efficient performance of simple building cleaning and maintenance duties. This is a part-time position, 25 hours per week. Beginning salary is $18.26 hr.
Fire Operations Major
Performs difficult professional and intermediate administrative work in the department as assigned by the Fire Chief. This position is a part of the staff management team responsible for the supervisory and skilled firefighting work in directing the activities of the Fire Division on all platoons. The employee in this class is responsible for the direct command of the firefighting force on all platoons, and directs operations as assigned by the Fire Chief. The character of work requires the application of advanced fire skills. Work is performed with considerable independence within the framework of policies enumerated by the Fire Chief. Command assignments involve the responsibility for discipline of subordinates and the proper maintenance of apparatus and equipment. At a fire, employee is responsible for effectively directing the firefighters until relieved of command by a superior officer. Performs general fire protection services as needed. This employee works under the direct supervision of the Fire Chief. Beginning salary is $21.57 hr.
Wetlands Team Member
This seasonal position is responsible for serving the Wetlands patrons in a variety of roles. These roles are assigned on a daily, weekly, or seasonal basis and may include greeting patrons, cashier, maintenance, café, and customer services roles. Pay is $10 per hour.
Wetlands Head Lifeguard
This seasonal position is responsible for participating in and providing supervision of Lifeguards; monitoring activities at Wetlands Water Park, including functioning as a Lifeguard in maintaining order; preventing accidents; rescuing swimmers in distress; and providing swimming instruction. Pay is $13 an hour.
Wetlands Seasonal Manager
This seasonal position is responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the water park facility to include facility maintenance, marketing and promotion, safety, training and development of staff, employee management, concession stand and ticket sales monitoring, facility scheduling and special events. This role requires a strong leadership and management skills set as well as a commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for patrons of Wetlands Water Park. Pays is $14 an hour.
Wetlands Slide Attendant
This seasonal position is responsible for the oversight of the water slides at Wetlands Water Park and oversees the safe, smooth use by guests when using the water slides. Pay is $10 per hour.
Wetlands Lifeguard
This seasonal position is responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers and aquatic patrons by monitoring activities, enforcing safety rules, and performing rescues when necessary. Pay is $12 per hour.
