Solid Waste Update 8/31/26

Thank you for your patience as we continue to work through equipment issues with our primary brush truck, and backup brush truck.

After repair last week and a few hours on the road today, our primary truck is headed back to the shop for more repair. Our backup truck is still offsite.

We understand that this can be inconvenient and thank you for your continued patience. We’ve had to have plenty of patience ourselves lately as well!

In the meantime, residents of the town are able to bring brush to our facility for drop off at 130 Britt Drive, Jonesborough TN 37659.

Our current schedule for mulch sales and brush drop off is as follows. Call our brush yard operator at 423-791-1382 thirty minutes prior to arrival for gate access.

Mondays – 7:00 am to 1:00 pm

Tuesdays – 7:00 am to 3:00 pm

Wednesdays – 7:00 am to 3:00 pm

Thursdays – 7:00 am to 1:00 pm

This Friday 09/04/2026 the brush yard will close at 11:00a for a town holiday, and will be closed Monday 09/07/2026 for the Labor Day holiday.
