FALL LEAF COLLECTION HAS BEGUN IN JONESBOROUGH
The Town of Jonesborough Street Department began its annual leaf collection service this week! Collection will run from Monday, November 2, 2026, through Friday, January 11, 2027.
Please keep in mind that it will take the collection crew approximately three weeks to get the collection schedule fully on track. During this initial period, crews may collect leaves on a different day than your regularly designated collection day. We appreciate your patience as our team works diligently to get caught up and maintain the schedule.
LEAF COLLECTION GUIDELINES
To help ensure an efficient collection process, residents are asked to observe the following guidelines:
- Rake leaves to the curb and keep piles within the public right-of-way.
- Keep leaf piles off the pavement and roadway and clear of sidewalks and areas that could obstruct vehicular or pedestrian traffic.
- Do not place leaves in drainage ditches, storm drains, or other drainage areas.
- NO LIMBS, BRUSH, OR GREEN YARD WASTE. This service is specifically for leaves only.
- NO HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE, TRASH, OR JUNK ITEMS.
- Leaf piles must be free of all debris, tree limbs, brush, and other materials.
These guidelines are important for protecting our collection equipment, maintaining safe roadways, and helping our crews provide timely service throughout the community.
