Town of Jonesborough Solid Waste & Recycling Service Update – November 2026
In observance of Election Day, Veterans Day, and Thanksgiving, the Town of Jonesborough Solid Waste & Recycling Division is providing the following service updates for the month of November.
Residential and Commercial Garbage Collection

Election Day – Tuesday, November 3, 2026: Normal collection schedules will remain in effect.

Veterans Day – Wednesday, November 11, 2026: Normal collection schedules will remain in effect.

Thanksgiving Day – Thursday, November 26, 2026: The Division will be closed in observance of the holiday.
To accommodate the community’s service needs, the Wednesday and Thursday collection routes will be completed on Wednesday, November 25, prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.
Residents and commercial customers are encouraged to remain patient during this period, as collection volumes are expected to be significantly higher than normal.
Crews will resume normal operations on Friday, November 27, and will work to address any remaining collection needs following the holiday.
