Due to a major leak, Jonesborough’s Water Distribution Department requests their water customers to conserve during this time. Customers may experience little to no water pressure or no water at all. If you experience any leaks or have any concerns please call 423-753-1009.

Jonesborough Planning Commission Meeting
The Jonesborough Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals will meet in regular session at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, in the Board Room at the Town Hall, 123 Boone Street, Jonesborough, TN.

Jonesborough Christmas Parade Traffic Information
There will be multiple road closures on Saturday, December 14th, for the Jonesborough Christmas Parade.
Main Street will be closed from Fox St. to Second Ave. starting Saturday, December 14th, at 10:00 a.m. for Santa’s Christmas Village Set-Up. The closure will continue until after the Jonesborough Christmas Parade, starting at 6:00 p.m.
Boone Street and a section of Main Street will be closed for the parade starting at 6:00 p.m.
Traffic patterns will be altered before, during, and after the parade on December 14th. Immediately after the parade has ended, vehicle traffic will be held on Boone Street until pedestrian traffic has cleared the area. Traffic patterns will also be altered along East and West Jackson Boulevard, with crossovers unavailable and no U-turns permitted. Traffic entering East and West Jackson Boulevard will be turned right at all intersections.
Dec. 3 Road Closure – Shell Road at the intersection of Rainbow Court
On Tuesday December 3rd between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm, a section of Shell Road at the intersection of Rainbow Court will be closed to thru traffic. Bright Ridge Forces will be removing a large tree near that intersection. Traffic will be advised to travel to Judge Vines or Persimmon Ridge Road for access. Questions can be addressed by Bright Ridge at (423) 952 – 5048.

The Jackson Theatre Board next scheduled meeting will be Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 3:00 PM. The meeting will take place at the Jackson Theatre on the top floor, 125 W. Main Street, Jonesborough, TN at 3:00 p.m.
