Click here August Calendar Activities The Jonesborough Area Senior Center, located at 1521 Persimmon Ridge Road, is a multi-purpose community focal point for people over 50 years of age. The center is designed to enhance the quality of life for older people in the community, supporting their independence and encouraging their involvement in community affairs. Activities and services include:

Health Education and Screenings, Physical Fitness, Recreation, Transportation, Information and Assistance, Outreach, Telephone Reassurance and Friendly Visiting

Lunch is available at the center on a daily basis for a suggested, minimal contribution. Van transportation to/from center and for center activities is available and coordinated by the senior center. Options to Community Services, a referral agency located within the center, is designed to direct those in need to the appropriate social and supportive providers available in the areas. Examples of services coordinated through Options are:

Homemaker services, Home delivered meals, Home health care, etc.
